Homes not connected to water and sewage lines still a concern for Hollywood officials

Mayor Jacquelyn Heyward revealed her plans for the future of Hollywood Saturday at the city's first State of Hollywood address and town hall meeting.

About 40 local Hollywood residents attended the meeting which took place in the Baptist Hill High School gym. They listened as Heyward listed several statistics, some with approval, some with disappointment.

"We figure now about 50 percent (of homes) are without sewer and water," Heyward said. "We're still waiting for funding, but I've heard on the news that some money has been set aside."
